After enjoying many trips to Disneyland this year (do I dare admit to 7 visits this year???), we enjoyed one last trip to end it all for awhile (for at least a couple years).
All loaded up and ready to drive over. We left at 715am and arrived around 215pm. That was a school day full of driving. Not too bad with potty breaks and one sit down meal!
The fun sign between the 2 parks. CA Adventures is under construction, so the letters are not on display anymore :( Luckily we got pictures of the kids in Dec by each letter.
Maddy got a lap-full of water (plus some) on this round of Grizzly River Run! She sat on one side of the raft while the rest of us sat on the other. I assumed the fuller side would get it worse... Sorry Maddy!
Had to go see "It's Tough to be a Bug" one last time. This is such a fun 3-D movie!
The kids decided they wanted to do pin trading this trip. So they took the gift cards the Easter Bunny gave them and bought some starter pins and enjoyed trading with Cast Members all over the parks!
We always have to go see "Turtle Talk with Crush". It's such a fun interactive show with the humans (in the human tank) and Crush (in the ocean). Our kids have all been picked to talk with Crush at one time or another. We have Malibu Macee, Maui Madelyn, Tidalwave Tyler, Kawabunga KaraLyn and Chuck. So super fun!!!
Macee was "tall enough" to go on Indiana Jones this trip. Well, she probably could've been tall enough without a little bit of help, but we wanted no disappointment, so we put some of Chucks socks in her shoes and gave her a little boost. She LOVED the ride!!! She did so much better than each of the the other kids did! She is such a thrill seeker (with a princess tiara!).
I love this quote found on the way out of Indiana Jones. That was my uplifting lesson while at D-land!
In the Haunted Mansion. Maybe I should donate my house to be a haunted house, that way I wouldn't have to dust! ;)
While the big kids were on California Screamin' (4 times in a row!!!), Macee "drove" me crazy in Bugsland! She loves the bumper cars! We also went on Heimlich's Chew Chew Train and King Tritons Carousel.
Tower of Terror... I do not do this ride due to severe motion sickness issues. I sent my camera in with Chuck so that he could take some pictures for me.
My family in the back row (left side). Notice Macee giving herself bunny ears? Silly girl! She LOVES this ride! They did this ride 4 times!!!
And when they came out of Tower of Terror, these fun army men from Andy's room showed up to do a street show.
Mickey's Fun Wheel (formally known as the Sun Wheel). My family is in the blue moving gondola on the left (2nd one up in this pic). I did this ride with them one time on a previous day, but declined this time. I enjoyed taking pictures instead!
We had the PERFECT seats for "World of Color" on Thursday night, but in the first few minutes, it stopped due to "technical difficulties" and didn't even start again. It was a bummer, with the perfect spot it would've been FABULOUS!!!
Tyler Took me on a great ride around Tomorrowland.
And we saw the Majestic Matterhorn!
The kids (and Chuck) wanted to do Grizzly River Run one more time, so I sent them on their merry way and I took pictures. We were going out to dinner with a dentist Chuck works with that evening and I didn't want my hair to be a wet mess!
Tyler was really upset that the Science Fair got moved to the Thursday we were out of town, so to make him happy we spent some time in Innoventions. This game was a fun one where you had to slide the "pucks" into plots and create blocks in a city. You try and build as big of a city as possible. Tyler and Maddy played together and Macee and I played together and we both achieved New York!
We love to see "Billy Hill and the Hillbillies". They are usually found in the Golden Horseshoe, but it is being renovated right now, so they pop up in Critter Country near The Hungry Bear and Splash Mountain. I didn't enjoy the show as much (music-wise), but it was neat being right there in front of them!
Macee loves this cute old man (the one in the orange)! He will always look at her and "flirt". She loves it!!!
We saw a sneak peak of Pirates 3: On Stranger Tides (in 3D). It was really neat going back into Big Thunder Ranch and watching it on a big screen in the outdoors. There were pirates all dressed up and giving us some fun entertainment before the movie part!
To end our trip, we saw "World of Color". It wasn't the best view, but we were able to see it pretty good. That show is the one I would tell any of you who are going to Disneyland in the future to NOT MISS!!! It is amazing! The best show Disneyland has ever put on in my opinion!
