I definitely removed mine. I suggest you all do the same. Now you can see anyone's drivers license on the internet, including your own! I just searched for mine and there it was...picture and all! Thanks Homeland Security! Go to the web site, and check it out. It's unbelievable! Just enter your name, city and state to see if yours is on file. After your license comes on the screen, click the box marked 'Please Remove.' This will remove it from public viewing, but not from law enforcement. Please notify all your friends so they can protect themselves, too. Believe me they will thank you for it.

My Baby is 4!!!

Wishing Macee a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

She has grown up so fast! She is such a big girl now.

-She is a Sunbeam in primary

-She loves to go to the Kiddie Klub at the YMCA

-She can play the computer with very little help... her favorites are Webkinz and NickJr.com

-She has learned how to dress herself (most times backwards... but hey we're getting there)

-She loves to talk on the phone

-She loves the color PINK

-She loves to pose for the camera!

-She is growing her hair out because she wants "Rapunzel hair"

-She loves playdays with Garrett (and whoever else joins us) and asks everyday if it's playday!

-She has a Jackie/Heidi personality (meaning Jekel/Hyde)... it is quite humerous how she can go from one extreme to the next within a second!

Those are just some fun things about my sweet baby girl!

We'll miss you Grandpa...

My Grandpa Rowley passed away in his home on Friday, February 6th at the age of 80. He had decided the previous week that he had enough dialysis and was ready to return home to his Father in Heaven. They had hospice come in and make him comfortable for his remaining time here on this earth. I'm going to miss him... he always could make me smile. He would show up to family get togethers in some of the craziest non-matching outfits... always sporting a hat of some sort. Most of my memories of him were from up at the cabin in Christopher Creek. We spent a lot of time up there during my teen-aged years. He would take us on night-hikes and if we passed the pay phone, grandpa would "hear" it ring, answer it and then proceed to tell us the person on the phone warned him there was a bear in the area... of course we would act all scared. He taught us how to play poker, he would build snowmen with us (using nuts and bolts for the facial features), would take us hiking and rock hopping (well, flopping for me), he would even let me sit beside him in his truck and steer (I thought that was pretty cool!). I have so many memories of my grandpa... he was a big part of my life. One thing I'm grateful for is the fact he showed me how to make gravy. I couldn't ever figure it out and one time after i was married we were up at the cabin and he showed me how to make gravy his way and since then I have been able to make the yummiest gravy! I will always be grateful for that... so will Chuck!

Grandpa's Obituary

Duane Allen Rowley, 80, a third-generation Mesa native, died Feb. 6, 2009 in his home. He was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various capacities, including as branch president at Christopher Creek. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gwen; sons, Kimbal (Carol), Michael (Karen) and Kevin (Connie); daughters, Leanne McCreery and Lisa (Jeremy) Henson; sisters, Lois Shepherd, Elaine (Bill) Baker and Joanne (Bill) Adair; brothers, Arden (Ruth) Rowley and Lynn (Dawn) Tenney; stepbrothers, Blinn (Eleanor) Tenney and Jim (Annie) Tenney; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, plus two more on the way; and five step-great-grandchildren and one on the way.He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Jesse Rowley; mother, Rosilla Allen Rowley Tenney and stepfather, J.H. Tenney; brother-in-law, Max Shepherd; stepsister, Marion Jones; and one great-granddaughter.Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Vista Peaks Chapel, 1430 N. Recker Road in Mesa. A visitation will be held at Bunker’s Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way in Mesa from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 13 and again an hour before the services on Saturday. Kill the Wabbit...

...and I did!!!

Not on purpose, but... well, here's how it goes. We were just driving to Fawn's in-laws house to watch American Idol after going out for her b-day dessert and we get to their street. Out of the corner of my eye I see a rabbit hopping quite fast from a field and heading straight for the road I am driving on. I totally slow down and the dumb rabbit jumps into the road and I guess under my nice, freshly washed, cleaned tired, Suburban!!! And then I feel the bump and hear the CRUNCH... the rabbit is DEAD!!! Well I assume it's dead from the sound and bump!!! I start to laugh until I cry- I HAVE NEVER HIT ANY ANIMAL WHILE DRIVING- and so this is my first experience. I should be sad, but with Fawn sitting next to me... that's kinda hard! So we park at the house and Jessica (she was following us) pulled up and got out and said we were MURDERERS!!! We were laughing so hard- DUMB rabbit! Anyways- come to find out- it was a good thing I "killed the wabbit" because they are running loose in the orchard and the Mortensen's want them all dead, so I did them a favor! I got high-5's from a few of them tonight! I was going to take a picture of the poor little guy when we were driving home, but he was gone... maybe someone cleaned him up or maybe he was someone's dinner- I guess we will never know. But I will always remember when I "killed the wabbit" (you all know the cartoon- does it bring back memories???)
