I was so super excited that 4th of July was on Sunday this year! It meant having fun dressing me and my girlies up!!!
But first there was Saturday...
We enjoyed celebrating on Saturday with the Mortensens... we went to our ward party where we had breakfast, listened to a presentation on the flags and had a little kid "parade" in the parking lot. Then we went swimming, had a BBQ and played games. As dark time came, Fawn and I decided to send the dads with the kids to the celebration downtown and to see the fireworks and we stayed back so I could do the irrigation.
Now... onto Sunday!
I made my girlies matching skirts...
and bought myself a fun dress...
The girls said they got lots of compliments at church on how patriotic they looked! I had the material I made their skirts out of since Macee was 1!!! I was going to make her a dress for the fabulous 1st birthday... but as you can see it never happened, so it was perfect for cute patriotic skirts!
Tonight we went and sat at a retention basin with our BFF's and enjoyed a night out to see the fireworks from a nearby church. The weather was actually cool! Perfect way to end the 4th of July weekend!
Someone is T-I-R-E-D (spelled out)... "I'm not tired" says the 5 yr-old!!!
So home we went and there was no complaining about going to bed!
