My little helper...

This little girl is so cute!

Easter 2009... The bunny didn't disappoint!

So... my kids are use to the Easter Bunny leaving clues hidden in eggs, sending them on a scavenger hunt, to find their "baskets". This year, I thought the Easter bunny may be a bit tired, but he/she pulled through!

On the scavenger hunt.

Finding their "baskets", which turned out to be their very own Camelbaks! YEA Easter Bunny!

Finding eggs at Grandma Nichols Easter party. We held it at a church building and turned off the lights and the kids found the eggs scattered around the cultural hall using flashlights!

Update...

My jumpdrive was found and I'm finished with my Photoshop projects... they are printed and I just need to mount them on posterboard and get the files put on a CD and I'm DONE!!! As for Human Anatomy... I got a 162/150 on my last practical (didn't see that one coming... I must be a good guesser) which has me sitting with an "A" still and I just have to get a total of 128 points out of the 260 left to get... YUP I could get a 50% on the final test and still get an "A"!!! Does that mean I'm not going to study? No... I always have to do my best no matter what, but I'm just not as stressed anymore! I feel the end coming and it's going to be a breath of fresh air! YEA!!!

I will come in and update my blog (maybe this weekend) when we get our new hard drive in the main computer and I can access my pictures again!

As for all the special moms out there... have a
Happy Mother's Day Weekend!
I hope everyone treats you as special as you are!

MIA...

That's what I have been for the past I don't know how long. This semester has been a doozie... especially since I've started Photoshop. But these past couple weeks have been super hard/crazy for me. I can't wait until Tuesday evening at 8pm... I will be on summer break!!! I have been holding my "A" in Human Anatomy and think I can end the semester with it. I just need 300 more points and we still have 420 floating out there with a lab practical tonight and one last lecture exam Monday and 2 lecture quizzes. I think I can do it, but honestly if I end with a "B" I won't kill myself. I'm to the point I just need to finish so I can be a good mom & wife again.
Right now I just want to be done... on Sunday our main computer crashed!!! That held the CS3 program I needed to do my homework for Photoshop at home, so now I have to go into the lab at school and do it. Which was fine because I only needed to finish a couple of projects, but that was until last night when I left my jump drive at school in the computer and I don't know if I'll be able to get it back. My teacher so kindly went in an checked for me today, but he didn't see it, so now I have to go scour the school in any place it might have been turned in. But knowing people nowadays... I feel like I'll never see it again. So that means I have to re-do everything I have put so many hours into! The thought makes me tired and right now I just don't care (unfortunately). But I'm too tired to care anymore. I just need this class to be over. So I have to leave even earlier tonight for school to go on a hunt for my jumpdrive and hope for the best. I'm going to go with a prayer in my heart and hope that if it's meant to be I'll get it back... so any prayers in my behalf would be much appreciated right now. I have many things I want to blog about, but I won't have the time until next Wednesday... so until then...
HAVE A FABULOUS WEEK!!!

Again...

So here we go again. Maddy has the chicken pox... yes for the second time... AND she was vaccinated! CRAZY... I know! Chuck noticed them on Monday night and I confirmed it Tuesday morning, that indeed it is all characteristic of the Chicken pox. She is not sick (nor was she the first time she got it), she doesn't really itch... she just has about 20ish "bug bites" on her tummy. I got to thinking, why did I even bother vaccinating this girl, but then I think had I not vaccinated her would she have gotten it worse and then got it again? Who knows. But for the well-being of my mind, I will pretend that if she wouldn't have been vaccinated that she would have been ultra-miserable the first go round and then she would have a repeat, so I made it to where it was a small, non-bothersome case both times around.

So she gets to stay home for a couple of days (a few of them are starting to feel rough already) and hopefully make it back to school soon. But while she's at home Macee has had a playmate and they have been dancing, watching movies, building blocks and being quite fun.
If you came to my house, you would have NO CLUE anything was wrong with this pretty girl! But I hope for her sake that she doesn't get them again... she really hates to miss school!

Dream

For those of you who have not seen this, I wanted to pass it on. It's about 8 minutes, but well worth it. You may even shed a tear or two... I sure did. So inspirational and a good lesson in "Judging a book by its cover".

Funny things I thought about today that put a smile on my face!!!

OK... first off Macee and her daddy...

Macee: Dad get me a drink of water

Chuck: You get your own drink... you're big enough

Macee: But you are my servant!

Heehee... made me laugh!

Now Garrett... my nephew
Me: Garrett... I love your new flipflops
Garrett: They are so YELLOW!
Me: Yes Garrett, they are!

As I was driving to school tonight a funny memory popped into my head. When I was a senior in High School my best friend, Mary, and I went to Hometown Buffet for lunch. This Hometown Buffet was in Scottsdale, the one my family would go to the most often. So we went there and there was this kinda nerdy guy who was the person who worked our table (clearing plates and such) and, I being the flirt that I was, decided to flirt, just for fun. Well... he picked up on it and thought it was great (from what I could tell) and in the end Mary and I decided to leave "my phone number" for him. We used one of her old ones and out it on a napkin and left... assuming we'd never see him again. Well... some time passed and my family went out to this same Hometown Buffet for dinner one night... and guess who was working? Yup... nerdy waiter! He told me the number was a wrong number and I didn't know what to say. (I wasn't suppose to see him, ever again!) My mom asked me what it was all about and guess what??? She made me give him my REAL number! What the crap! I can't remember if I ever talked to him on the phone or not, but that isn't the point. I just thought about this memory and it made me laugh, so I thought I'd share! The moral: don't be mean to nerdy waiters... sure, that's it! ;)

Happy Birthday Tyler-bug!!!

I know I'm a week late, but I still can post about my (not-so) little boy! He just turned 10 yrs old! It's crazy how time flies when you have kids. They definitely grow up way too fast!

Tyler has been a complete joy to have in our lives. I always said if any kid had to be an only child, he would've been just fine because he doesn't require entertainment, he has always been just fine to do things on his own... but I'm glad he has the opportunity to be a big brother.

-Tyler is in the 4th grade this year. He seems to enjoy learning (except writing... but that's OK).

- Tyler is learning how to play the piano and the violin. He definitely has a talent for music!

-Tyler has always been a card collector. As a little boy he collected cards with animals on them, then he went through a Yu-Gi-Oh stage and now is into Pokeman.

-Tyler is a hard worker and always wants to do things that will make his mom happy!

-Tyler enjoys playing the basketball game "around the world".

-Tyler enjoys reading and is learning to broaden his horizon of subjects to read on. He used to only read books about animals or that had animals in them!

-Tyler works hard in his cubscout program. He has earned his Bobcat, Wolf and Bear and already is working hard towards his Webelos.

-Tyler's favorite color is RED.

-Tyler's favorite food is PIZZA.

-Tyler enjoys things to be done his way... he likes his room to be clean and orderly. That surely makes a mom happy!

Here are a few pictures from the past years. I haven't scanned in quite a few years, so I don't have many pictures from earlier years (ages 1-5), but these are what I have since I came into the "digital age".

I'm grateful...

... for a husband who can have fun in the midst of 8 crazy 10(ish) yr olds when I don't have the energy!
