Hello...

Just wanted you all to know I am alive after Girls Camp! I'll post later about my adventure... I'm totally exhausted right now and I'm heading to bed. But I wanted to let all you scrapbookers out there that I'm going to a Late-Nighter at Scrapbooks-Etc this Friday night. Call the store if you want to join Me and Fawn there. It would be LOTS of fun! And comment on here if you get signed up so I know to look for you! Until tomorrow (or Monday)... remember to keep smiling and have a great day!

Raindrops Keep Falling on My... Arm???

So we made it to Thatcher today and a storm came rolling in at about 8pm. I had the kids playing out back and they come running in telling me they see lightening, so I tell them to count until they hear thunder and Maddy said she counted to 100... funny. So anyways, Macee comes in a few minutes later and said she felt a raindrop on her arm, "for reals" (as she said). I told them to go out again. It wasn't really raining yet. So about 10 minutes later it really started to rain, so they all come in... well, I love the rain, so I went out. Well we knows what happens when mom goes out... so do the kids. They started to play in the rain and really enjoyed it alot. They got out umbrellas and danced and had fun. I went in and got my camera and took pics of them. It was fun... so here are some pictures below.
Maddy and Tyler running around crazy in the rain.
My 3 sweet kids... I sure do love them!
Tyler- going through a phase of hating pics
Macee... LOVING the rain!
Maddy... my WILD child!!!

So Sweet...

I went to Bunco last night and when I came home, this is what I saw on my couch...

What a sweet daddy...

I'm being brave...

OK... so in church we watched a video on pornography and they showed how they make plain ordinary women and make them look very attractive. They come in without their hair done and no make-up on wearing their comfy clothes and after they are done getting "beautified" they look fabulous and then with computer technology they can make them look even better. So... I have a habit of taking my own picture when I think my hair looks cute. So I took this picture of me one day...

...and then later that night I had taken off my make-up and had my hair pulled up (crazy, huh?) Chuck thought I looked funny (he was right). So I smiled big ( I probably couldn't see anything because I don't have on my glasses and I know my contacts were out at this point.) and Chuck took a not so beautiful snapshot of me... I can't believe I'm posting this, but I found it humorous, so I assume most of you will. That's all! Enjoy a laugh...

A Trip to the Zoo!

So Fawn & I took the kids to the zoo on a Thursday morning. We got there at 7am and stayed until about 1030am. It was not crowded at all. It was warm, but the breeze would come through and it felt good. The kids really enjoyed themselves and wore themselves out (the best part). We walked the Tropical Trail and then played in the splash pad and then we walked the Arizona Trail. I love having a pass to the zoo. I feel like I can go and only stay for a little while and know I can go back and do more later without wasting money! Here are some pictures from our day there.

We tried to have the buddy system. Here is Maddy, Jonny, Macee and Gunnar.

These 2 pictures crack me up. Macee refused to smile for the picture. Fawn was talking to Devon on the phone and put it on speaker and he got Macee to smile without a problem. Funny little girl!

Macee looking so cute in her little Speedo and shorts! (Oh- and can't forget the piggy tails!)

Fawn & I! No make-up, it would've just melted off anyways!

The peacocks found us. The were just walking around the zoo.
Funny... do you see what I see... I see a turtle on another turtle. This was funny. As we were coming up to the turtle exhibit we see that one turtle is starting to climb on another one. We kinda hurry past them, but Fawn's nephew said, "They did that the last time I came!" Funny... anyways, I snuck back over and took a few pics.

This monkey just about jumped on me. The worker said they always catch the branches with their back feet or tail, but if he would've missed, he would've jumped right on me!!!

All the kids playing in the splash pad.

I got a little wet (on accident) so I decided what the heck, so I got in and was soaking wet by the time we headed out! It felt so good!
And a nice picture to end with... Macee staring off somewhere... I think she's a little tired!

A Happy 4th of July...

So the 4th of July (I know I'm a little behind) was a FANTABULOUS day. We 1st got up and went down to Lehi to go with the Mortensen's to a ward breakfast, kids parade and flag ceremony. It was really nice. The kids had fun eating pancakes for breakfast, making the crafts they had available and then riding their decorated bikes/scooters in the parade around the ward building.

Macee's cute 4th of July hair-do.

The kids waiting for the flag ceremony to start. Very patriotic!
Then after the breakfast we went to Devon's parent house (Grandma & pa Mortensen's) house to swim and have a BBQ for lunch. It was tons of fun. A lot of family came and joined in the fun.

Tyler curled up on a bench and fell asleep after swimming all morning ad then eating lunch.
Maddy is such a little fish... I wanted her to look at the camera... but she didn't want to.
Macee has figured out how fun it is to jump off the rock formation... she realized it's not too scary! Yea Macee!!!
Then after we wore all the kids out we went back to our house to play games... notice the Catan board? We had a great time playing it. Before starting to play we heard Chuck and Devon making noise in the dining room... we noticed they were fighting over a chair. We (Fawn & I)thought... "What's that all about?" Come to find out, that was the winner's chair, so they both wanted that spot. Chuck actually ended up with it (Chuck is one strong man... hefty, hefty, hefty!) so we played games and ate leftovers for dinner and had a great time.
Our Catan board...
Chuck & Devon... (Chuck's shirt says... "I'm Grumpy because you're Dopey" I got it at Disneyland for him. He is always looking for new Grumpy shirts.)
Then we were debating if we were going to go to the fireworks because our usual spot was not doing fireworks this year. The weather was getting a little stormy, so we decided to give the kids their glow necklaces and we had some poppers and things you throw on the ground that explode and they had fun doing those and then we went in, put on a movie for the kids and played another game and that was the end of our night. We had a great 4th of July! Thank you Mortensen's for the fun day!
Playing with the popping things.

...and I found happiness

OK... so I was having a down day kinda. Just couldn't be "happy". I told Chuck I was hungry for hamburgers and french fries, so we were going to go to McD's when Tyler got home from scouts and then go to Walmart to go food shoping. Well, on our way I changed my mind and we headed to Mattas (YUM!!!). On our way I was looking southeast at the beautiful dark clouds and I told Chuck I wanted to drive to the clouds and see the rain... but seeing as I had just been to the gas station and it stopped me at my $100 limit, I knew I couldn't. So we went and ate and I looked out the window just before leaving Mattas and saw sprinkles! YEA!!! So we headed to Walmart and the sprinkles stopped. Oh-well... So we did our shopping and as we were leaving, I looked out the doors and it was POURING!!! YEA!!! So we ran to the truck and hurried and got the kids in and the groceries (thank goodness we didn't have a huge cart full!) and we got in the truck soaking wet! The rain was coming in sideways and and there was a puddle of rain on my dashboard... funny, huh? I was all of a sudden really happy (I love the rain!!!) Well... I drove home (you could barely see anything as we were driving) and I really wanted Golden Spoon... so I made Chuck get out of the truck and go in and get me some... Tart Mango in a waffle cone. (plus 2 quarts, one old-fashioned vanilla and one tart mango) and then we were heading home. When we were driving down Brown Rd, we saw a back bumper laying the East bound lanes of traffic, so we turned around (Oh- it's raining hard again right now!!! 10:15pm I hear it coming down good!!!) and Chuck got out once again (the good boy that he is) and he picked it up and put it the parking lot and jumped back in the truck (by this time he was SOAKING WET!!! So anyways, some person I guess just lost their bumper and they are driving around with no license plate or bumper, kinda funny. So if you are reading this and you don't have your bumper, it's on Brown and Horne in the medical complex parking lot! Heehee... So, finally we almost get to our house and I see flashing lights and the curious person I am has to go and check it out... come to find out it was in front of our friends house, so I call to make sure they are OK. They were... it had something to do with their tree and a power line and it was sending sparks into their neighbors yard (scary), so they hopefully got it all figured out! I'm glad you're safe Kristen! So, we finally get home and get the kids in bed and I get to spend some good quality time with my hubby, something I haven't had in awhile. It was nice! But now he's asleep and I got my dishwasher loaded and going, so now I can go to sleep a happy wife!
I'm going to try and post more tomorrow, but for now...
Good night, sleep tight, dream of bed bugs tonight!
(name the movie...)

Memory Game

Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! You do not have to have met me in person as I have barely met any of you.
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses.
If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. :) If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.
Have fun! And thanks Janie for getting me to do this! I just commented on your blog.

Picture Tag...

OK... So I read on Julie's Blog her picture tag and she tagged anybody who was brave enough to do it... so I decided to go ahead! The thing was to take pictures as it is now, no cleaning to make people believe we have perfect houses... Here it goes...

1. Dream Vacation-

Always has been and always will be Disney World. I just want to wait until my kids are old enough to do everything there and not get too tired and cranky!!!

2. Self-Portrait-

So here I am! I need to get my hair colored again. I'm just waiting until the end of summer when I get ready to go back to school- maybe I won't look too old to be there! Heehee...

3. What kids are doing right now-

Macee is dancing- mind you she has been dancing like a ballerina- on the knuckles of her toes... OUCH!!!

Maddy has taken an interest in my IPod and is singing along while playing the drums (do you think we like Golden Spoon???)

Tyler is playing Yu-Gi-Oh on his DS.

4. Closet-

My side

Chuck's side (notice his is bigger...)

But I can't complain, because this is my favorite closet below...

My Scrapbook Closet... just before I had Macee, my dad came over to help me put shelves in the smaller closet in our bedroom and this is where I keep all my hobby stuff! Fun, huh?

5. Favorite room-

My kitchen... we completely gutted it last summer and it has become my favorite place to be. I know I was suppose to take pics as it was, but I figured you all would wonder why it was my favorite if it was a mess, so I cleaned it up for this picture!

6. Favorite shoes-

I live in my flip-flops... I believe my feet will show you that if you look at the bottoms of them. But they are so comfy and it what my feet like best, so I wear them whenever I can. (In the winter my favorite shoes are my "rugged crocs" my hubby got for me from Cabellas)

7. Laundry room-

So my laundry room is relatively clean. This is ususally the spot where I just drop things as I come into the house, but I have been trying my hardest to keep it clean.

8. Bathroom-

During our kitchen remodel, we also gutted the Master bath and laundry room... so this is a picture of my Master bath... I love it... Don't keep it as clean as I should. I don't like to put things away when I'm done! Oh- well. They get put away every so often!

9. Sink-

I always try and have my dishes done before bed. The left side has dirty dishes, the right side has clean dishes. I do have a dish washer, but I hurt my upper back a few days ago and couldn't bend over too well to out dishes in the dishwasher, so hand washing it has been for a few days.

10. Fridge-

So my fridge is a little cluttered... We have lots of water bottles, seeing as we are trying to be better about drinking it more often... in the past it would've been filled with "liquid sanity" (Dr. Pepper... BTW Julie... laughed that you called it that, because that is exactly what I call it!)

Notice my freezer... Quarts of Golden Spoon... YUM!!! I can't do without... so have to keep quarts on hand at all times!

So there is my picture tag... I hope you all who read my blog will do this. Leave a comment on this post when you do put one on your blog so I can check it out!
