This year we decided to have a family dinner on Valentine's Day... spending time with the ones we love. We invited my mom over for a candlelight dinner and I made lasagna, garlic bread & a salad and we drank sparkling grape juice in champagne glasses. My kids absolutely loved it! Their reaction was priceless. I'm so grateful for my family and I have the BEST kids ever! Who would've thought it would be so fun to spend Valentine's dinner with your kids... but as my sister says, "Why do you need one day to show someone you love them... you should do it everyday. You should take the day and spend it with people (not just one person) you love." So that's what we did. Maybe we just started a tradition in our family.
and dessert was GIANT cupcakes! YUMMY!!!

Ryan and I have made it a tradition that Valentine's is a family day. And then, he and I go out sometime afterward. It's nice because flowers are cheaper and the dinner lines are shorter. I'm glad you guys had a fun evening!
I agree... Why does it have to be that one day to show your hubby that you love em... Shouldn't it be everyday?? LOL!! Oh well!
Sounds like you guys had a great dinner. Those cupcakes look yummy!!
