Someone Turned 11 in our House!!!

I can't believe my "baby" is 11!!! I'm so grateful to have this cute young man in my family. He is a big help to me. He loves to read... he just got done with the "Harry Potter" series and is now on to the "Percy Jackson" series. He is one who does not look forward to the summer break... he would rather be in school learning! He is practicing his babysitting skills on his sisters. He is working on his scouting and getting ready to go to his very first scout camp this summer! Boy time sure does fly! Tyler... it has been a great 11 years and looking forward to many, many more of being your mom!!!

Somehow the he knew that we were

to be heading to Disneyland soon,

so he left the kids bags of things to have

for Disneyland (plus some candy for right now!)

He's taking after his mom!!!

Tyler told me he was having a hard time seeing the overhead in class, so the first thing that came to my mind was he needed glasses. My eyesight went bad in 4th grade, so I decided I needed to get him in just to see what was going on. After an eye exam it was determined he needs glasses. His vision is 20/40 in one eye and 20/60 in the other. So he got to pick out glasses and these are the ones he chose. I think he looks quite handsome in them. He will get them in about 2 weeks. Good timing, right after Spring Break!

My Little Wrestler

We were over playing with the Mortensens on Monday (President's Day... no school) and the kids were out back playing. D had been working on cutting down their mulberry tree and I guess my sweet Macee decided to go in among the branches and came out crying and bleeding (not a lot... but in her mind it was profuse!). She was distraught... to say the least. So we washed her up and had her relax. Poor little girl! I still tease her about wrestling with a tree!

Because I don't want to forget...

Macee has us laughing about multiple things daily...

I can't remember most things she says,

...but yesterday I was holding her and looking at her face

and I told her she has such pretty white skin.

She proceeds to tell me that it is not white,

to which I respond, Oh? And she tells me it is black.

Who would've known I've had such a cute little black baby all this time!

Btw... I find little black babies completely adorable,

but will never have biologically :(

So Macee is my pretend one!

...and today I told her she really needs to stop biting her nails

and she proceeded to tell me (without skipping a beat)

"But they are my favorite snack!"

Now that's one HUGE belly!!!

Macee was 9lbs... and when my water broke it was all over the place and then my doctor came in and checked me and said let's break your water... I told him it already broke and he proceeded to make another hole in the sac and more water came rushing out! Crazy, eh???

Not that this picture means anything, but it is my desktop picture on my laptop and I kinda like it!

OK... now I'm tired and I should be going to bed!

Sick Macee

This is how Macee has looked since yesterday when she started to not feel good... zoned out and exhautsed. We needed to get out of the house for a few minutes this morning, so I packed her up in the suburban with her blankets and off we went. I couldn't resist some pictures of her miserable self. Even though this cute little girl is running a fever of 100-102 (she refuses to take medicine!)... she can still pull funny faces for the camera. But her eyes say it all... She's sick!
