Chuck's Nose Job...

So, Chuck has breathing issues. He can't breathe out his nose when he runs. Chuck snores at night. Chuck is super tired all the time... you get the idea. So he had his deviated septum corrected on April 7th. I took him in to the surgery center and they got him all ready for the procedure that would last about an hour.

All dressed up in his surgery gear!

Getting ready to walk back into surgery...

Off he goes!!!

Trying to come to. He was a hard one to wake-up from the anesthesia!

Getting him to sit up... still half asleep!

So, he had the stints in his nose for 1 week. He had to sleep sitting in a recliner. Well, we don't own a recliner, so he slept in the reclining camp chair all week. (By the way, those chairs are quite comfy!)

So, after a week of a painful nose that kept dripping (he wasn't allowed to blow it), we went to the doctors office (I had to go to see what was up his nose) and the doctor pulled this out!

Beware... if you get queasy easy, it is gross (well, not to me), so brace yourself!

To see how big it was, I put it next to my cell phone. No wonder his nose hurt so bad this week! Mine would too with that shoved up it!

As soon as they (yes, one up each side) came out, he felt a lot better. And he asked if he could blow his nose and the doctor gave him the OK! So, now he can breathe again and is doing good. Hopefully it helps him sleep better so he can have more energy to hang with ME!!!

Funny Comment by Maddy

Mad: Mom, does he always sound like that?

(Chuck was snoring pretty loudly)

Me: Yes, all the time!

Mad: HOW do you sleep?!?!?

Note: His snoring has decreased since

the stints were taken out.

Bling Day at School

Christmas with the Mortensens!

We set aside Christmas Eve to enjoy the holiday with the Mortensens! We always have super fun with them!!!

Super fun foam swords to play with at the park!
Ready to create gingerbread houses!

The dad's relaxing!

And the elves left PJ's!!!

Christmas 2010

So... some may say I go overboard... but I don't care! I enjoy Christmas and I love to have an excuse to buy/make my kids gifts. Do I spoil them? On holidays, yes... in regular life, not really!

Christmas morning.

"Stockings!" This time we set out bags for Santa to fill. Really it was that I didn't get their new stocking made, so it just had to be that way! Santa even left Chuck and I a few goodies!

Traditional picture before opening presents!

Santa didn't disappoint!!!

New warm, flannel quilts!!! I couldn't have finished them without Chuck's help! When he suggested I stay the whole time at Disneyland with my g-ma, I knew the only way it would happen is if I had the quilts all sewn (I could clip them while I was there). So he stayed up really late one night with me (a sacrifice for Chuck... he LOVES his sleep) and helped me! And then he took the kids out the next day so I could get the last one put together.

Christmas Disney Trip Day 3

We started today in California Adventures!
The Golden Zephyr... I sacrificed and stay off to take pics!
What a sacrifice on my part! Haha!

There is a lot of construction going on at CA Adventures and this is one of my favorite construction signs.

King Triton's Carousel... What Macee and I do when the others are on CA Screamin'!

Waiting for Playhouse Disney Live on Stage to start. We hadn't seen it in a few years!

We headed over to Disneyland again because I had forgotten to take pics of the Christmas Decorations!!! Can't forget that!

At the Main Entrance area... Train Depot is right behind the kids.

In front of the Disneyland Christmas Tree

The HUGE Christmas Tree!!!

The castle during the daytime.

Billy Hill and the Hillbillies
Our favorite show at Disneyland!!! We see them at least once each time we come, if not more. We saw them the day before (Macee's pic of fiddling along) and the kids wanted to see them again, so we saw the last show of the day and we were able to sit at the table just off the stage. It was fun to be so close!

He kills me!!! He always works in a way to put in these "Hillbilly teeth". This time it was to "All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth". The faces he does makes me laugh!!!

Their version of Riverdance... Puddleprance!

Billy's bow got stuck in his nose... crazy boy!

More of the show

The "floating" Christmas Tree

Meeting a "Billy". We were so excited!

A Christmas Tree in Toontown

Gadget-Go-Coaster. I rode the 1st time with everyone, the others rode it a 2nd time, Maddy rode it a 3rd and 4th time (all by herself... crazy girl!)
A fountain in Toontown (Macee's obsession)

I love this window sign in Toontown.
"If we can't fix it... we won't!"

Small World all lit up for Christmas! The ride is also all decorated for Christmas and as you float through you hear "Jingle Bells" and "It's a Small World".

Back over to California Adventures to finish the night...

Toy Story Mania!!! We love this ride!

I think we have some tired kiddos! We were waiting for World of Color to start and they all laid down and fell asleep. Tyler and Maddy woke up to watch, Macee slept through the whole thing!
World of Color! This is the best night show I've seen yet! I have seen it 3 times and I love it every time! If you go to Disneyland/CA Adventures, make sure to put this show high on your list of things to do!
